Back Pain Treatment Sydney CBD

Low back pain affects most adults at some point and rarely has a single cause. We assess the lumbar spine, hips and the muscles around them, treat the tissue driving your symptoms with massage, dry needling and cupping, then build the strength and movement habits that keep your back well.

How we treat back pain

We start by assessing how your lower back, hips and pelvis move together, and which muscles are overworking or switched off. Treatment typically combines remedial massage and myofascial release through the lumbar paraspinals, glutes and hip flexors, dry needling of trigger points, and cupping over broad areas of tension. Red light therapy can be added for persistent inflammation.

Once symptoms settle, exercise therapy builds the glute and core strength that protects the back, and we coach lifting, sitting and training technique so the problem does not keep coming back.

When to get checked first

Back pain after a fall or accident, pain with fever or unexplained weight loss, numbness around the groin, or new bladder or bowel problems need a doctor before any manual therapy. Tell us about any of these when you book.

Back pain FAQs

Should I rest or keep moving with lower back pain?

For most non-traumatic back pain, staying gently active recovers faster than bed rest. We help you find the movements that are comfortable, settle the tissue with hands-on treatment, and progress you back to normal activity.

Can you help with sciatica?

Often, yes. Where sciatic symptoms come from tight gluteal and hip muscles or lumbar stiffness, massage, dry needling and targeted exercise can reduce pain and improve function. Severe or progressive leg weakness or changes to bladder or bowel function need urgent medical assessment.
