Exercise Therapy Sydney CBD
Exercise is the second and third principle of Active Performance Therapy: supervised training to rebuild strength, stability and movement after symptom relief, then self-care programs you can do between visits. Our therapists hold Certificate IV in Personal Training alongside their massage qualifications.
Why exercise is built into every plan
Hands-on treatment relieves symptoms. Exercise is what keeps them from coming back. Active Performance Therapy follows three principles in order: direct symptom relief, supervised training, and self-care solutions. Once pain has settled, your practitioner moves you into targeted exercises that address the weakness or control problem the assessment found.
What supervised training looks like
Sessions are one-on-one and specific. For a desk worker with neck pain that might mean thoracic mobility and scapular control; for a runner with hip pain it might be glute strength and single-leg stability. Technique is coached closely so the right muscles do the work.
Self-care between visits
You will leave with a short program to do at home or in the gym, plus advice on posture, sleep and training load. As you progress we update the program, and the gap between appointments usually grows. Pair exercise with remedial massage and red light therapy for recovery on heavier training weeks.

Exercise Therapy FAQs
Do I need to be fit to start?
No. Programs start from where you are. Early sessions often focus on mobility and simple control exercises before any load is added.
Will I get exercises to do at home?
Yes. Self-care solutions are a core part of Active Performance Therapy. You leave with a short program of stretches, mobility drills or strength exercises that fit into your day.
